We know that there are 9.7 million 3G subscribers in Malaysia alone (MCMC, 2010).

We also know that over 1 billion internet ads were served on Malaysian mobile phones in just 3 months (Bernama, 2011).

We know that the primary method of accessing the internet in Nigeria is from a mobile phone (StatCounter, 2011). The rest of the world will follow suit (Gartner, 2010).

We know that by 2012, there will be more mobile phones/ devices that can access the internet than  PCs and Laptops in Malaysia (Morgan Stanley Research, 2011).

The future of the internet is on mobile devices. That much we can safely assume. The question then becomes: what risks should we take in anticipation of this change in market?

Everybody knows the secret to success in business, but not everybody acts upon it, even if they could predict the future well enough. It would be wise to prepare your business today for all the marketing possibilities that mobile internet will bring tomorrow.
